Chideock residents may be interested to hear that the story of Chrissie Squire, the Chideock Egg Lady, will feature on both BBC South West Spotlight and BBC Radio Solent during week commencing 3 August as part of the BBC’s extensive coverage of the First World War. There should also be an article on the same story in the September edition (available mid August) of Dorset Magazine. Anyone who wants to know more about this fascinating piece of village history may like to visit the ongoing exhibition at Bridport Museum or come along to the ‘Chideock in the Wars’ exhibition in the village hall on Friday12 September.
