On, Saturday, 6th August, a group of 30 people came from Poole to Chideock Martyrs Church. Following a buffet lunch, a talk was given about the history of the church and its martyrs, including a visit to the site of the original barn chapel, which is now the sacristy, and the barn loft where Mass was said in secret during penal times. Benediction was celebrated together, followed by a cup of tea before returning home.
