On Easter Monday the Clock House Inn was completely destroyed by a fire that started in the thatch roof and spread to the rest of the building. The Long Family who have run the pub for many years watched in horror as their home and business was ablaze. The Clock House was a focal point of village life but Mike has pledged to rebuild and re-open. The village will lend as much support as possible and whilst they will mourn the loss of their ‘friendly local’ everyone is relieved that no-one was hurt. Our thoughts are with Mike and Helen and all the family.
