Supporting the local initiative, known as West Dorset Scrubbers, members of Chideock WI have been very busy making wash bags for the laundering of scrubs. The hum of traffic noise was well and truly replaced by the gentle whirring of well-oiled sewing machines last week and due to the generosity of our members, friends and neighbours, who donated through the collection point (photo 1), or sewed at home (photo 2), we have been able to make and donate seventy-two wash bags for scrubs which is a marvellous achievement. These will be used by healthcare professionals within Dorset, wherever they are needed.
