Did you hear about the Diamond Jubilee Oak Tree Project on the Archers?
This is part of the Woodland Trust’s More Trees More Good Project which we have been working on for the past year. The tree packs include an oak tree sapling for communities to plant to commemorate the Queen’s Jubilee. The good news is that we have been negotiating with Chideock landowner Mr Charles Everidge who has very kindly offered a piece of land for a small woodland. We are also discussing with the National Trust the possibility of replacing the old field boundary hedges on some of their land in the village. The tree packs are FREE so all we need from you & your children is some of your time to help with the planting. All the sites will be accessible by public footpath so we will be able to care from the trees and to watch them grow. This is a lovely project which children can be involved with so please let us know if you would like to join in . Individual trees will also be available for gardens.Watch out for leaflets!
