STORMS AND HIGH TIDE BATTER SEATOWN BEACH CAR PARK

IMG_3935

Seatown Beach Car Park was devastated by the violent storms last week.  The Car Park Attendants Hut was completely destroyed as the high tide and winds swept in swamping the Car Park.  The force of the water demolished the vehicular bridge and a massive amount of debris was swept into the field behind.  Significant cliff falls have occurred and land has slipped adjacent to the river.  Obviously the Car Park is closed and there is limited parking on the lane so traffic was a huge problem over the weekend as people came to ‘see the sights’.  Please only journey to Seatown if absolutely necessary or park in the village car park (A.35) and enjoy the walk. Please take extreme care when walking on the beach as cliff falls are likely at all times.
