The St.GilesChurch was full for the ‘Christmas Carol Service’ last Sunday evening and everyone enjoyed the seasonal programme. Licensed Lay Preacher Mr.Jim Pettifer conducted the Service assisted by members of the congregation ‘reading the Lessons’ and the excellent augmented Choir. Four Children from the Bopper Bus – Phoebe Peel, Matthew House, Ellie Kitcher and Darcy Stainer read a poem entitled ‘Bopper Bus’ written by Charlotte Hyslop and it was a lovely addition to the evening. The Church looked wonderful with floral decorations in abundance, the very large xmas tree and the traditional Nativity Scene. The collection was divided between The Bopper Bus and The St.Giles Church. Many villagers come together to make the church look so ‘special’ at this time of the year and the results were magnificent. This was a wonderful evening in the true spirit of Christmas.
