Privileged to Spend Time Together in a Beautiful Garden

Report of Chideock W.I. Cream Tea July 7th 2015

We met at the “Bay Tree” in Chideock and on this occasion the committee were able to relax a little more than usual whilst enjoying the afternoon which had been arranged by members. Hosted by Sally , Gerry and Sharon in the Bay Tree Garden we were amply served with homemade scones, jam and cream as well as the usual endless refiled teapots. Weather that had started out to look a bit dubious soon turned to sunshine and there was a happy atmosphere among the 28 ladies who attended. Our president welcomed us all and quickly dealt with the business. Happy birthday was sung more than once as several members had special birthdays and flowers were presented to our Treasurer and President along with Pauline Silcox and also Helena Pilatowicz who has recently celebrated her 90th birthday. It was a fun afternoon and we felt privileged to spend it together in a beautiful garden in our lovely village.
We meet again on September 1st at 2.30 pm in the village hall and would welcome new members or visitors. A WI cake stall and cream tea will be held on August 11th at Chideock house so please come along and support this village event.
