- Olypic Torch comes through Chideock
The Olympic Torch will be coming through Chideock on 12th July at approximately 3.00pm. There will be a marquee placed on the Foss Orchard Car Park and refreshments will be being served. There will also be w.c. facilities. The Car Park will be closed and we request that all cars be removed by 9.00.a.m. In order to welcome The Torch we would like as many houses on the Main Road to decorate their homes with bunting, flags or flower arrangements but if you need any help just let Keith Bayliss know on 01297 489027. The Torch Runner will enter from Bridport End of the village and the Convoy will return again about an hour later but the Runner will not be in evidence. The Marquee and refreshments will be open from 2.00 pm. until 4.00 pm. We look forward to a huge turn out for this ‘one in a lifetime’ experience for Chideock…t.v. camera crews may also be around!
