Just a few photographs of the very successful Queens Jubilee weekend held on Clapps Mead Playing Field.
What an amazing Queens Platinum Jubilee Weekend of events we had and so well supported by our village and ‘some visiting our village’ who assured us of their return after such a warm welcome. Kicking of with Childrens Party and then on to the BBQ and after singing the National Anthem and ‘toasting the Queen’ the dancing began to ‘Sweet Caroline’ and never stopped until 11.15pm. Over 100 people celebrated the party in style. The Church Service on Sunday was very well attended with over 40 people and lots of cake eaten at the Coffee & Cake afterwards. Many had their ‘picnic lunch’ in the marquee and browsed the few stalls selling plants, toys, etc., Thank you to all the ladies that made the wonderful cakes and to all the helpers that made the event such a success. Thank you to Taddle Farm Tents if North Chideock for installing the marquee, electrics and everything else above and beyond. Thank you to all the Groups that gave financial support. A Few pictures attached and will hopefully get lots more on the community website soon. We had an amazing but very busy time so we thank you…Lyn, Anna Dunn and Lizzie Blott.
