The Chideock Society are organising A Summer Treasure Hunt. There are thirty clues to solve during a walk round Chideock and Seatown, all based on the acclaimed Chideock Parish Map. The competition runs throughout the summer, and entries will be accepted up until 1st September 2015.Treasure hunt packs include a copy of the map, competition instructions and the clues written in the form of rhyming couplets which take you on a trail encompassing all of the major historical features of our parish. Solve all the clues to be entered into the prize draw which takes place on Tuesday 8th September 2015.Prizes include meal vouchers to dine at both The George Inn and The Anchor at Seatown, a Chideock Hamper packed with local delicacies, meat prizes from local outlets, locally made cheeses, wines, cider and much more.Treasure hunt packs cost £5 and will be available from The Village Post Office, The George Inn and other outlets to be confirmed in due course.
