The Chideock Bypass Working Group event held at Chideock House on Saturday 14 October was a great success. The weather stayed kind to us and we had a good turnout, so a big thank you to all our supporters and we were delighted to meet some newcomers.
The games were in the gazebo and most popular was Bar Skittles closely followed by Sjolen a Dutch version of shove ha’penny. The younger generation was represented by two toddlers who enjoyed the pitch and putt while the bagatelle was won by a lady in her 90s.
On the popular information desk our new website http://www.chideockbypass.co.uk proved to be a great hit with many new subscribers – please take a look and consider joining our mailing list. From the website you can also follow the Group on Facebook, Twitter and YouTube – any pictures or videos of unusual traffic events are most welcome.
We continue to lobby all out elected representatives, details are on the website. An UK Government and Parliament petition is now open seeking support to “Construct a bypass around Chideock, Dorset to relieve the traffic problems.” You can sign the petition from the website or go direct to: https://petition.parliament.uk/petitions/202521
