The Ridwood Affordable Housing development is now completed and properties are being offered to local families and young people who live in Chideock, work in Chideock or have a local connection to Chideock. The new properties are to be known as The Green, Ridwood, Chideock. The properties have been built by G.G. Fry to a high specification and will offer much needed affordable accommodation to sons and daughters of parents who currently live in the village and families that have been living in other areas but wished to return to Chideock to be close to their extended families. I have been extremely impressed with WDDC Housing Team and Magna Housing who have been stringent in applying the terms of the S.106 Legal document which stated the necessity of anyone applying to have a Chideock connection and look forward to all these families moving into their new homes in April.
