Roadworks in Chideock
Wessex Water is planning to replace the existing water main along the A.35 from North Road to Far End (Chideock Hill West) as part of it’s ongoing water supply improvement programme. Work is to start on Monday 14th January and could take up to five weeks. Two way traffic signals will be in place for up to 3 weeks. These will be manually controlled to help manage queues effectively. One the works have reached the crawler lane on Chideock Hill the traffic signals will be removed and the inside lane of the westboudn carriageway will be closed. Following discussions with residents and the Parish Council it is agrred to work from 7-30am to 7-30pm, 7 days of the week. Please note that works will be closed down on Sunday 20th due to the close proximity of the Church and the Clock House Inn but every sunday will be worked thereafter until the works are complete.
