CHIDEOCK PLAYING FIELD WORKING PARTY

pLAYING FIELD
Families working in the Playing Field

On Sunday afternoon many village families turned up to help with the strimming, cutting back of overgrown vegetation, removal of the climbing frame, replacement of fencing and general tidying up of the Chideock Playing Field and Play Area.  Elizabeth Grant who is a Parish Councillor and Chairman of the Playing Field Committee gathered the troops and arranged for the working party to take place.  The beautiful weather encouraged their hard work and efforts and their children had a great time helping out and playing football!  The Play Area known as Clapps Mead was donated to the village by The Grafton Family and is now owned by The Parish Council.  West Dorset Leisure Holiday Limited kindly arrange the grass cutting but it befalls volunteers to help keep the area safe and well maintained.  The families that took part are as follows: The Grant family, The Barnes family, The Daniel family, the Stoker family, the Reynolds family, the Silcox family and the Zaiger family.
