MORE MEMORIES OF TONY FULLER

Richard and Diane, in remembering Tony, have already mentioned his prolific writing.  As they say, he wrote fascinating memoirs of his life, including as an evacuee to Dorset during WW2, but his first love was always writing poetry.  He said that he found it the best way to express his feelings.  And of course he continued to write his poetry until almost the very end of his long life.  Chideock residents may not know that Tony was also in the last few years an active member of the wider Bridport writing community.  He frequently attended our open mic evenings, Apothecary, at the Beach and Barnicott, and was both a good performer of his own work and an avid listener of everyone else’s.   We – his writing friends – will all miss him.
