Blue Plaque for Chrissie Squires, the “Chideock Egg Lady”.
In November 2018 Frances Colville gave an interesting illustrated talk about Chrissie Squires, the “Chideock Egg Lady”, who lived at Glendale (now Hollow Cottage). There is a piece about Chrissie on the Chideock and Seatown Community website
After the talk someone asked whether a “blue plaque” could be put up to commemorate Chrissie and we said that we would investigate. The owner of Hollow Cottage has given permissionand the current tenant is very enthusiastic about the idea.
