Chideock W.I. held their first meeting of the New Year on 9th January. Selection of the preferred subject for the 2018 W.I. resolution was on the agenda. After discussion a vote was taken on which subject Chideock should put forward. The serious business over, time for tea was followed by a fun auction of unwanted Christmas gifts. Objects of all shapes and sizes were on the table, all of them new and the variety was amazing. Our Auctioneer for the day kept the banter going and gave us an entertaining afternoon which raised £110 in funds for community projects. The president Mary Rogers thanked Eric Tweddle for his splendid contribution from undertaker to auctioneer. We were reminded of the various groups that were available to take part in during the month. Craft group, Walking group Book group, even a Lunch and Natter group. Sounds good to me! Now is the time to come along and join the Chideock W.I. We meet on the first Tuesday of every month. You will not be disappointed. Iris Jones. Chideock W.I.
